I was originally going to photograph this sweet little girl last month, but when we were rained out, we opted to wait until after her little sis was born to reschedule. I just had to share this last one–I think is looks like little sis is looking up at her big sister.

I have been so lucky recently being able to work with several sweet and smiley babies. This little princess was the most recent little one in the studio, and her parents came prepared with adorable outfits and fun ideas.

I thought it was so cute how this little guy’s two bottom teeth showed up in so many of his portraits. I remember the excitement of the little ones getting their first teeth (as well as the associated long nights!). But he didn’t seem at all bothered by those emerging teeth and was all smiles for our outdoor session last week.

In honor of Earth Day, I thought I would share an idea for an easy, Earth-friendly way to perk up someone’s day. To create my super-simple centerpiece, I took a few clippings from my blooming azalea bush and popped them in what used to be an Honest Tea bottle from the recycle bin. Add a ribbon from around the house, and voila, you have a pretty little bouquet to give as a gift, or brighten up your own table.
I have been bust the past couple of weeks with a lot of maternity sessions, and that means I will soon get to see a lot of newborns! I told this couple that it’s so nice to meet the parents before the babies come so I can get to see a little of their personalities before the baby takes the center stage. They were so much fun to work with, and full of great ideas.
Well ok, I said smiles, and the last one is one of the few from the session without a smile, but I just love his cute little hands and his sweet expression. It’s such a classic baby portrait! This little guy was such a good sport for his session this morning and we had a great time capturing him interacting with his mom and dad.

I told this mom that she must have good portrait karma–they planned this session months ago, and ended up with one of the most gorgeous days for the month! The botanical gardens were so filled by the time we were done, there wasn’t a single parking space open. We saw butterflies, turtles, huge koi, and tons of silly geese.

These little ones are all mine ; ) We were lucky enough to catch some of the cherry trees in bloom at the botanical gardens. They had so much fun frolicking around the gardens in their Easter finery!
How cute is she? Can you believe this cutie is the same little girl who fit in the flower pot last year? I was so excited to have one of my favorite models back in the studio to try some new ideas!
For the second day in a row I had the chance to photograph a beautiful pregnant mom. Today’s family brought their adorable 2-year-old son and soon-to-be big brother to share in their maternity shoot. The second shot above is a little of his handiwork!
