Upside Down and Rightside Up

November 8, 2010

What a joy this little redhead is!   He had a smile on his face from the moment he arrived, and then had fun playing around during our session.  He even had to take a break from his family portrait to run over and give me a hug.  Such a charmer!

Chilly Fall Morning

I was excited to have this family back for their 5th session with me.  It was the 3rd year in a row we have done fall photos, and in between we did some maternity and newborn portraits for their newest addition.  It was a chilly morning, but mom and dad were prepared with adorable little coats for the kids, and we managed to keep everyone moving to keep warm.  I just love these little guys–talk about cooperative subjects.  Look at the smiles big brother have given me year after year : )

Mother/Daughter

November 6, 2010

This mother daughter pair made a fun day of their photoshoot–heading to the salon and spending the day together before coming over for a outdoor fall shoot.   While the wind was a little harsher than we might have wanted, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall afternoon.

Fighting off Sleepytime

November 5, 2010

It’s a little ironic that we spent most of this morning’s session trying to keep this little sleepyhead awake when I spend most newborn sessions trying to get the babies to sleep : )   But since this little 3-month-old was a smiler, we wanted to get sweet shots of him awake.    Well and awake and smiley we managed to get, and I’m sure his mom and dad will be relieved that our hard work paid off!

Halloween–I almost forgot!

November 4, 2010

How could I forget to share my own cuties in their Halloween costumes?!  We had Dorothy, wearing a gorgeous dress from Boutique Ollie Girl.  She had her own real-life Toto to go along with her (our Affenpoo puppy, Lucy).

And Miss V. was transformed into Rapunzel, the long-haired maiden soon-to-be featured in the new Disney movie, Tangled.   Since Disney’s wigs were all yellow-blonde, we improvised on the hair with some real hair extensions I found at the beauty supply store so we could have a brunette Rapunzel ; )
