Sunshines

August 31, 2011

I’ve known this beautiful mother of three since our early days of motherhood and I have always admired her patience and ability to handle anything that life throws at her.  Back when we first met she had the thankless job of being our technical contact for the Vienna Mom’s group, right when we were in the process of switching to a new email/website system.   Now I got to see her again as the mother of 3, and do a session celebrating the adoption of her charming son.  The last time I did portraits for them was when their younger daughter was just a newborn.   I’m especially honored to her her as a return client because I know that she has a nice camera herself, as well as a photographer in the family.

Back Again

August 17, 2011

It’s been two and a half years since I have seen these little guys.  They had moved overseas and now that they are back, I was honored that having updated portraits done was one of the first things on their to-do list.  Check out their first session to see how much they have grown!

Congratulations to Veralana client, Amanda Carroll on starting her new national radio show this week!  I spotted her glowing smile on the K-LOVE website this morning.

Yoga Baby

August 2, 2011

I first met this new mom when she came in for some professional headshots, and now she was back with her sweet baby girl.  Mom had demonstrated her yoga skills during our previous session, and this time it was her little daughter who was showing off her flexibility.    She was such a happy, sleepy baby for us–a newborn photographer’s dream.

That’s not the sound a wagon makes!

August 1, 2011

It’s great when I get to meet up with fun, relaxed repeat clients and help them capture more family memories.  With this family it felt more like hanging out with friends and taking some photos along the way than working.   The kids were having a great time exploring the surroundings–climbing on the caboose, riding in the wagon, playing in the stones *especially playing in the stones*, climbing on the stone walls and checking out the gardens (they were more excited about the spider webs than the flowers, though!).   At one point when the boys were in their little red wagon, I moved the wagon a bit to get them out of the sun and as I was moving it said “Chugga chugga”, to which the older boy corrected me for mixing up my transportation sounds.  Of course, silly me!
