This sweet little girl just came home from the hospital yesterday, and was in my studio this morning for portraits. And there’s something to be said for bringing the babies when they just a few days old–she was incredibly easy-going and the session went so smoothly. I just love that image with the stuffed animals!
It was fun to see these little girls again and how much they’ve grown since last fall. Both sisters were such charmers, full of sweet smiles and colorful imaginations. I think we took almost as many photos of their animal toys as we did of them ; )
We have been trying to get in our photoshoot for several weeks now, so despite the threat of rain this morning, we decided to go ahead and give it a try. I suggested bringing along rain gear just in case, and her little rainboots were just so adorable she ended up wearing them for the shoot even though the rain held off until after we were done.
I just loved this newborn brother-sister pair. They were such great little subjects–both the sleepy, easy-going sister and the bright eyed, smiley brother made the 3 hours were spent working on their portraits seem to fly by. The best part of the session, however, had to be when we managed to get them to snuggle in together. I think they could have stayed sleeping there for hours!
It’s not often I get a 2-year-old who turns on the charm like this big sister did in our Old Town Alexandria session this morning. She was posing, smiling, playing and helping us find fun spots for our portraits of her family. Little sister was a little more interested in exploring than showing us her pretty blue eyes, but we did manage to sneak in a few photos of her too.
What a beautiful morning for a photoshoot! And to make it even better I got to work with this adorable little toddler and her beautiful mom. We ran, jumped, sang and even looked for bugs.
