It was another beautiful November day, and I got to spend some time photographing a college friend and her family.  Her girls so adorable in their matching dresses and have become quite the pros at modeling for photos.

A warm day in November

We had the opposite problem from my usual November sessions last week: it was unseasonably warm!  These little cuties were troopers and despite being a little too warm in their long sleeves, enjoyed running around and exploring.  They play so well together and mom was a good sport, joining in with some impromptu hide-and-seek.

It Started with a Matilda Jane

One of my best-dressed families were back for another year of fall portraits.  We made our session about having fun: tossing leaves on mom and dad, letting the kids hang upside down, pretending to tell secrets, all while trying our best to avoid the occasional quicksand-like mud.  There was still plenty of fall color around, and we lucked out with warm temperatures.

We hit the jackpot with fall color this week.  It was really great to see these little guys again this year for their annual family photoshoot.  They are so much fun, and getting to be pros at family portraits.

It was a beautiful fall morning, and despite running a little into her naptime, this little one-year-old was an adorable little model for our session.  She was full of smiles, and loved to show off her Elmo dance.

One of the best parts of doing sessions on location at clients’ homes is getting to see how they have displayed their previous Veralana portraits.  I loved seeing their beautiful collage of family portraits on the wall that they had made from our last session together several years ago.  This year they were back to update their family portraits to include their adorable little daughter.

How cute is this little one-year-old?  I love all of the ideas that mom had for our photoshoot today.  She even brought one of her framed photos from our newborn session to pose with.  And the matching red Chucks?  Adorable!

What a beautiful morning for family portraits.  It was definitely one of those days that it was good to get an early start, because later in the day you wouldn’t want to be out in the sun.  But in the morning it wasn’t too bad temperature-wise, and the location this family picked for their portraits was just beautiful this time of year.   It was nice to see this little guy again and meet his sister.  He was full of personality and she was such a cute little almost-one-year-old.

After a couple of reschedules due to rain/cold we ended up with a gorgeous morning for our family photoshoot.  I have been taking pictures for this family since the little girl was a newborn, and it was so fun to see how much she has grown.  Since we did the session around their own home, it was also fun to see all of their previous portraits displayed around the house.

It is always so much fun to see my former newborn clients growing up to be the big brothers and sisters.  I just loved the curls on this big sister, and enjoyed seeing her parents again.  Little brother decided her wanted to be awake for most of his session (despite being only a little over a week old!) but was such a cooperative poser nevertheless.
