On the Swings

November 9, 2011

It was a beautiful day for a photoshoot at the park, and this fun mom wanted to make sure the kids weren’t just standing around saying “cheese” for their portraits.  So we were climbing trees, swinging on swings, going down slides, and tossing leaves.   It’s been about a year and a half since their last session, and it’s always fun to see the kids as they grow up.

Little Gator

November 6, 2011

It’s been a few months since I photographed this little guy as a newborn, and look how big he is now!   His older brother and sister are former preschool classmates, dance buddies and soccer teammates of my own girls, and I have enjoyed seeing them grow up.   Aren’t they a great-looking bunch?

Now there’s a Smile

November 1, 2011

I’ve had the chance to work with these little guys since before the youngest was born, and they get cuter every year.    The little one wasn’t feeling too many smiles this morning, but between the toddler moments we did manage to catch a few grins.  ;)

Berries and Trikes

October 26, 2011

We squeezed in this session in the morning before the rain rolled in.   This little guy had the cutest curls, and was really excited to explore the cranes, trains, and nature.    I’m glad we managed to get him to stand still for a few moments so we could capture his adorable grins.

Sunny Day at the Mill

October 23, 2011

I have had the chance to photograph this fun family for the past several years, and their annual session is always a highlight of my fall.  This year we had fun exploring the mill, and trying to avoid goose poo.  After several weeks of rain, it was nice to have a brisk, sunny, and dry fall morning for the shoot.

Little Miss Photogenic

October 6, 2011

It’s not often I get a 2-year-old who turns on the charm like this big sister did in our Old Town Alexandria session this morning.  She was posing, smiling, playing and helping us find fun spots for our portraits of her family.  Little sister was a little more interested in exploring than showing us her pretty blue eyes, but we did manage to sneak in a few photos of her too.
