This sweet little baby arrived and pulled me out of my moving-to-a-new-house sabbatical for a photoshoot this morning.  She is the first child of some dear friends and even though I have been very busy with the final touches of building our new house and selling our old house, I wasn’t going to let that stop me from taking her newborn photos.   They had their wedding in New Orleans, so it seemed suiting to have their very own king cake baby.

Little Elf

This sweet little girl made the cutest little elf, and it was fun doing the session at her house where we could use some of her own things as props, like that gorgeous grey and yellow chair.

Photographers Disclaimer: The first image is a composite.  We didn’t actually place this little newborn on the dog for this picture.   Please do not try to reproduce a pose like this without the aid of Photoshop, it would not be safe.

So while I am waiting for my new studio space to be completed I am continuing my tour of clients’ homes for newborn sessions.  This little newborn belongs to some long-time clients of mine, and we thought it would be fun to try to include their dogs in some of the portraits as well, since they were hanging out with us.

Sisterly Love

Not too long ago I did newborn portraits for big sis, and now I got to do a new round of newborn portraits for her new baby sister.  I’m still waiting for my new studio space to be finished so I’m glad they allowed me to set up the mini-studio right in their living room to photograph their new addition.

This future ballplayer was just the cutest little guy, and his mom was well-stocked with goodies from Etsy to use during our session.  We had so much fun dressing him up in his various little outfits.

Three Sisters

Such precious little girls!  I did newborn portraits for the middle daughter, and now I got to see her again as a big sister, and meet her newborn baby sister.   It was so nice having the chance to work with them again, and this time because we did the session at their home, I also got to how awesome their previous portraits look displayed on their walls.

I have known this extremely photogenic big sister for several years, and I was excited to meet her new little sister this morning at my studio.   The new baby girl was just 6 days old and so full of sleepy smiles.

What an exciting week and back-to-back newborns.  Today’s little cutie was a 4-day-old baby girl who slept peacefully the entire session.  Her parents brought along some adorable props, and since she was being so cooperative we were able to get them a lot of fun poses.

First Day Back

What better way to spend my first day back from vacation than with a fresh little newborn and his family?   I just saw his big sister a few weeks ago at their maternity session, and it was fun to see her again as the new big sister.
