I have been expecting this little guy since his parents came in for their maternity session a couple months ago. So when they called and told me that he had been born, I took a hiatus from my vacation this week to fit in their newborn session. It was so nice to see them again and to meet their new addition!

I’ve been lucky enough to work with these clients for three years in a row, and for fun I pulled a few images from past years to show how she’s grown. It wasn’t until I lined them up that I realized she wore a cute red bow each year! This morning I got to hang out with her and her little brother in the studio for their annual holiday photoshoot.

I wanted to try a little before and after with this sweet mom and her little guy–from belly to baby. I love decking the newborns out for the holidays–“santa baby”.

These are one of my favorite families to work with–I’ve had the chance to do their holiday portrait three years in a row now and see the kids as they grow. I dug up some from the past years to compare how the kids have grown. Aren’t they the cutest?!

These big brothers were so excited about their new baby brother. At one week old he was such a tiny little guy, but I think when he gets older he’ll be trying hard to keep up with his brothers.

Sharing a few more images from my digi-minis this weekend. The snow on the ground here really helps with getting in the holiday spirit. I’ve got the smell of my fresh Christmas tree in the air here at my home office as I listen to my good friend Amanda playing Christmas music on WGTS 91.9 and I work on designing holiday cards for clients and ordering their portrait gifts.

You may remember seeing these families on the blog from their full sessions earlier in the year. It’s so fun to see how much the little ones have changed in just a few months.
These were my first digi-minis (mini-sessions for repeat clients where we shoot the session, select their favorite image(s) and burn a disk for them to take home and use for holiday cards and gifts…all in the one hour session). It’s like having the instant gratification of mall studios without the crowds! This year I opened up two days for the digi-minis, and they will continue this weekend.

My older daughter’s birthday is right around the corner, and for her birthday I promised her a trip to New York to pick out her first full-size American Girl doll at the American Girl Place. What a fun adventure seeing Lady Liberty from the Staten Island ferry, riding the Subway, and walking through the streets of Manhattan. I had my trusty point and shoot pocket camera with me so all of these images, except the statue at night, were taken the Canon S90.
