Belly to Baby

April 15, 2011

I first met these new parents last month at their maternity session and I decided it would be fun to hold off and post the maternity pic with the newborn sneak peeks.  I’ve had such fun with them–from photographing mom’s amazing pregnancy yoga poses to practicing swaddles with their new baby girl.   I’m so glad she arrived in time to fit in the session before my vacation.

Back to the Gardens

April 11, 2011

I got to spend a gorgeous morning back at the botanical gardens with this fun family of 3.  The gardens are in bloom with cherry blossoms, daffodils, and other spring flowers helped fuel the creative spirit of this adorable 3-year-old.  And the turtles, koi, and geese we found along the way added to the fun of our little photo adventure!

Daffodils and Twins

April 10, 2011

We had been planning outfits and tracking weather for this session for so long, it was so nice to finally meet this family in person.  The sweet twins looked great in their spring finery, and got noticed by all the passersby at the gardens.

Little Phillies Fan

April 6, 2011

I was so excited for my sweet little nephew to visit this afternoon.  My sister-in-law and I had a great time dreaming up ideas for his session.  She even brought the blue bucket that we first used in his newborn session last summer.   Maybe I’m a little biased as his aunt, but I think he’s such an adorable kid : )  And I’m so glad we were able to do the baseball “baby legs” shot.  If you’re looking for a pair, I found mine through an online boutique based here in Fairfax: http://babybunne.com/.

BFFs and Babies

April 1, 2011

What better way to spend a morning in the studio than with 2 friends, their husbands and new babies.  I think it’s great when you can share the experience of new motherhood with close friends and have your kids grow up together.  The little 4 month old boy was full of smiles and giggles for me for our short session.  The little girl was a bright-eyed 7 week old, who preferred to watch our session than sleep through it ; )
