I got to spend a few minutes together with one of my long-time favorite subjects last weekend. We didn’t have to go any farther than her own yard to capture her beautiful smile.

This little cutie came in for a holiday mini-session last week and we had the most fun. She was having a great time playing with our Christmas props in her gorgeous little dress. It’s so fun seeing her grow up into such an adorable and fun little girl! Here’s a quick look back to last year:
I worked with this family to do baby portraits when their older son was just a couple of months old, and today they were back with their twin boys. It was a bit of a challenge to get all three boys together, but they were such an adorable bunch when we did. Mom had them impeccably dressed, down to the adorable suspenders under the twins’ sweaters. The family shot above was a spontaneous idea, but I just love her it turned out–it’s so telling of life with a toddler and twin newborns.

I was home for Thanksgiving and I had the chance to update the portraits of one of my oldest friend’s family. This year they added a new baby girl to their family, and she is such a sweetie.

We have been trying to get this session in for a couple of months (well, I guess since last year, in fact) and we were finally able to slip in a session right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Today I was thankful for having such fun, cooperative subjects to work with. We were up against afternoon light, which made the location a bit of a challenge, but in the end it worked out great and we were lucky to have a mild November day.

We found a little remaining fall color this morning at our outdoor session. This little toddler enjoyed playing around, picking flowers and hanging out with his fun mom and dad.

These were some hard-earned shots with this adorable little 6-day-old. But as you can see our hard work paid off and we managed to get him some adorable portraits with and without big brother.

Just when I thought most of the fall leaves were gone, we were able to find a gorgeous, climbable tree in their own front yard which matched perfectly with their color scheme. I’m so impressed with their great outfit choices–just perfect for fall portraits.

I just love the expressions of the sisters on the carriage photo–isn’t it telling of a sisters’ relationship? These girls were so adorable and just perfect little subjects at the studio this morning. Little sis was so interested in the session she didn’t want to close her eyes, but eventually the weight of her 2-week-old eyes was too much for even her to resist.

What a fun newborn session this was with these repeat clients and their growing family. This little guy seemed to really enjoy chilling out with with stuffed animals. And his big brother was a great sport about joining in for some of the photos.
