I can’t believe that this sweet little West Virginia cheerleader who I photographed as a newborn was back in the studio this week as a big sister! It is so fun to see my clients growing up and to get to meet their new family members.

This sweet family contacted me a couple of months ago in search of a celebrating adoption session. Unfortunately the organization is no longer active, but as a former CA photographer I offered to do a special session for them to celebrate an adoption milestone as well as their son’s upcoming first birthday. He was just the cutest little dude, and so eager to smile for the camera. We were lucky that we were able to get the session in before the 100+ degree temperatures hit later that day.

We started off this session with the best intentions of getting this little guys’ portraits without a diaper. Well it seemed he wanted nothing to do with that and after a few, let’s call them “accidents”, we decided to switch to the cute diaper cover. After we did, he fell asleep for us and we rocked (quite literally at times) through his session. Love the vintage guitars that dad brought, especially this pretty blue one.
