Still Life ~ Blood Oranges

Last month I tried out a little still life photography with a batch of blood oranges my dear friend Angela sent me from her personal backyard orchard.  I couldn’t share at the time because I entered one of them in an image competition.  Well the results of the competition are in–the image won 2nd place–and now I can share.  The first with just the orange/reflection was the one I entered.  And another from the series which shows the unique coloring of the inside of blood orange.  My girls love the novelty of pink orange juice!  These are all natural window light with a small piece of tin foil being used as a reflector.
