This morning I got back into the studio after a week of snow days and had to work with this family for their Celebrating Adoption session.   This little guy was really interested in the pieces of construction equipment that were making a lot of noise outside attempting to clear out the heaps of snow.   But in between watching the trucks, we managed to grab some smiles of this little cutie.  He just has the most amazing blue eyes and charming smile.

I just love babies at this age–lots of rolls,  big eyes and wide smiles.  This little guy was so in love with his mom and dad, and fascinated but every detail of the world around him.   He was so focused on his explorations it was sometimes a little hard to grab his attention.   But despite the challenges (poor little guy was cutting some teeth) I had fun getting to know this lovely family in this Celebrating Adoption session.

In the Tulips

April 19, 2009

I was excited to work with another family who found me through the Celebrating Adoption program.   We were lucky enough to catch the tulips in bloom by Vienna’s Freeman House.    Mom did a fabulous job picking their clothes–I love the matching outfits on the girls, even down to the shoes!

Daffodil Days

March is such an unpredictable month. Here in Virginia we go from almost 70 degree weather one day, to 40 degree weather the next. Despite the warm, sunny demeanor of the flowers around us, today ended up being one of the cooler days. But my little friends today were troopers for most of the session, showing me the evidence of spring popping out all over the garden. By the time I left, I had a daffodil in my back pocket and a little purple flower in my hair. I’m just sharing a few previews from the session, which was celebrating the addition of this sweet little girl to their family. For more information about the Celebrating Adoption program, contact me, or check out the national website.  And as always, I would love to hear your comments here on the blog!
