It’s been a blustery few days and we postponed our session to avoid the last few gusty days, but even with the lighter winds yesterday, this sweet little girl still struggled to keep her hair from blowing around. She wouldn’t let mom fix it and insisted on patting if back down herself. And then in a somewhat funny coincidence, her new fluffy puppy started to tousle with her hair for the family photos, as if he were prodding her on.

I always have a fun time with this crew–I think they mentioned that this was our 11th session together! This year we got a beautiful fall day and tons of smiles.

We lucked out with some beautiful fall weather for our session last week. Aren’t they a seriously well-dressed bunch? I enjoyed seeing how much these little guys have grown up since I last photographed them. After playing a little in the leaves, we had to seek out some climbing trees for the boys.

I had the cutest little newborn baby boy and his charming big sister in the studio this week. It was a great way to kick off the new year after taking an extended holiday break. Here’s a quick look back at big sister when she was his age (with the same monkey!)

I had the chance to photograph both of these little ones when they were newborns, and just last month I ran across this cute little girl again while taking portraits at a local preschool. Her mom contacted me to update their family portraits and I can’t believe our luck with the late November weather. It was unseasonably warm and sunny this morning, making it a perfect day to go explore in the woods.
