Tiny Pettiskirt

It was nice to finally meet this sweet little one-month-old.  Her mom wrote to me before my trip last month, and I’m glad we were still able to get some sweet sleepy newborn photos for her, as well as some wide eyes.   I love seeing the props that the parents bring to my sessions.  Today is was this adorable pettiskirt– I think she looks like such a doll in it!

What a perfect session to come back to after my vacation.  This little 2-week-old was so easy going, and his mom brought along the cutest hats for him to wear.    He even worked up some sleepy smiles for his first family photos.

Magical Vacation

September 1, 2010

There’s nothing more magical than sharing a vacation to Disney World with little kids.  I love that my girls are still young enough to want to dress up in fancy princess gowns in 90 degree weather, meet the “real” princesses, and dine in magical castles.

Evidence that I went one vacation, too….a rare photograph of photographer.   Here I am with my two little “Jessies”.   Their dresses were custom made by the wonderful Angela of Boutique Ollie Girl.

And I will leave you with our view of the castle from the top of the Contemporary Hotel.    It totally made it worth it to carry along my 70-200 mm lens.

I’ve known these little girls for several years, and it was fun to work with them and their little brother this morning.   Little brother loved his trains and his big smile in this closeup was from a little game his mom was playing asking him to show each of the train cars one by one.   Even in the image of the three of them, the trains were there by his side–we hid them with his sisters’ skirts!

Big Sister, Little Sister

This lovely family came to me through the Celebrating Adoption organization.   And not only do they have a new addition to their family to celebrate, but also the end of a series of cancer treatments.    It was so sweet to see how much big sis loved her little sister–it was truly a match meant to be.
